FREE SOIL TESTING AT COUNTY EXTENSION OFFICE

Do you know that we provide FREE Soil testing for Arkansans?  If you are an Arkansas homeowner or landowner and your garden, lawn or pasture isn’t looking so great, it’s time to see how your soil is doing.  Soil testing can be done anytime, but the best time is in the fall or in the spring before green up. Just take a soil sample from your yard, garden or pasture and bring it to the Franklin County Extension office.

Soil is the foundation of a healthy garden!   Many people overlook their soil, take their soil for granted, or randomly add nutrients to the soil in hopes that it will help their plants grow well, but at Extension, we like to say, “Don’t guess… Soil test!” It’s so important to check the pH and levels of nutrients before gardening! A soil test can make the difference between success and failure in the garden.
