High Noon Cajun Gumbo Cookoff!!
Barnes Fire Department is having a Cajun Gumbo Cookoff at NOON on Saturday, March 15th at Barnes Fire Station #2, located on the corner of Upper Jethro and Camp Newell roads, physical address is: 15602 Camp Newell Road.
Three excellent cooks, originally from Louisiana, are preparing their best Gumbo recipes to be judged by donations.
The competition is fierce as to who makes the most delicious Gumbo! So come out and enjoy a bowl of gumbo and maybe some good music by Big D and Friends.
If gumbo isn’t a favorite dish for you, other, more traditional soups will be available.
