Lavaca Police are searching for a man who broke into a home on West Main St. and attacked a woman Tuesday afternoon. The incident happened about 1pm when a white male reportedly entered through the back door while the woman was home alone and wrestled her to the ground. The man was reported to be about 160-170 pounds, a white male 6 feet tall wearing camouflage. The suspect fled the home north bound on foot. Authorities searched the area with the assistance of a K-9 Unit, but no arrests have been made at this point, although police do believe the identity of a suspect.. The woman did sustain several cuts during the attack and was taken to the hospital where she was treated and released.
