The Charleston Fire Department was called to a fire Friday morning at 7:30am on Highway 22 at the Franklin Sebastian County Line, the call came in of a vehicle on fire. The fire was at the Doug Loughridge home. Loughridge and his family were at home at the time and were not aware of the fire until a passerby, who knew the family, saw the fire and pulled into the driveway and ran into the house to tell the family that their suburban was on fire. Authorities report that Loughridge's wife had gone out to start the suburban to let it warm up and had walked back inside the home when the vehicle caught on fire, it was parked next to the house. The suburban was totalled and it was estimated that about $30,000 damage had been done to the east side of the home. No one was injured in the fire.
