Strong thunderstorm winds are reported to have ripped through portions of the River Valley on Sunday evening causing some damage and leaving some without electricity. Charleston was one of the area's hit with reports of several large trees uprooted and multiple power lines down. Charleston Police Chief Billy Atchley tells KDYN News that some OG&E customers were without electricity until 7:30am Monday. There were also reports of some structures that were damaged, including the Daniel Wagner home south of Charleston. At one point Sunday evening, most of Highway 22 was blocked by a large tree that was blown across the roadway. The good news is that no injuries were reported. Similar damage reports have come in from Logan and Sebastian Counties.
