Ozark Police Chief Cory Tedford reports that a stolen rifle was recovered this week and an Ozark man was cited for the theft. A Dennis Pledger of Ozark had reported the theft of a rifle from his vehicle in Ozark recently. Earlier this week, Magazine police were contacted by an individual in their City who wanted to have a gun he had purchased checked. That checked revealed the gun had been reported stolen in Ozark. Ozark Police were contacted and identified a suspect in the case. The suspect was located and questioned, and as a result was arrested and cited for theft of property. William Davis age 40 of Ozark is accused of stealing the gun and then selling it to a resident in Magazine.
