A 25 year old John Parent of Booneville was the suspect arrested last Friday in connection with a sexual assault / rape that happened at the Wild Trendz Etc. in downtown Booneville on Tuesday Jan. 24th in broad daylight. Parent also escaped custody for a short period of time Friday evening after an altercation with a Booneville officer at the Logan County Detention Center in Paris. The attack occurred at the Wild Trendz Etc in downtown Booneville between 2pm and 3pm. The woman was reported to be inside the business alone, she was taken to the hospital where she was treated and released. Parent was arresetd on Friday and charged with aggravated assault and rape with a bond of $500,000 set.
