Ozark Man Arrested After Report of Stabbing

An altercation between to male subjects resulted in one being arrested and the other treated at Mercy Hospital in Ozark. Franklin County Investigator Robert Limbocker tells KDYN News that 18 year old Levi Mason of Ozark was treated and released from Mercy Hospital Turner Memorial in Ozark early Saturday morning after he was stabbed twice during a fight with another man. The Sheriff's Department received a call of a man being treated for stab wounds from the hospital in Ozark just after midnight Saturday morning. Authorities responded to the hospital and questioned the victim and were able to identify a suspect and obtained an address on Pleasant View Road where the incident took place. Deputies located the suspect at the home on Pleasant View Road and arrested 22 year old Stephen Gossow who lived at the property. Gossow was arrested for Felony 2nd Degree Battery in connection with the stabbing and was also charged with Misdemeanor 3rd Degree Battery due to the fact that a female at the scene was hit during the altercation. Investigator Limbocker said the Gossow was also charged with Criminal Mischief due to damage done to the victim's vehicle which was at the scene.
