Ozark Police arrested a 40 year old Ozark female yesterday as part of a felony theft investigation. Ozark Police Chief Cory Tedford reports that the department took a report on September 28th of the theft of a Jet Ski from a Brian Gray of Ozark. At the time it was stolen, the jet ski was parked at the home of Julie Hughey on south 30th St. in Ozark. The jet ski was parked their by Mark Copher, whose father owns the jet ski. Copher was in a relationship with Hughey at the time according to Chief Tedford. Earlier this week, Franklin County authorities received a call of a jet ski parked in the yard of a home on Chrisman Drive. When a check was run on the jet ski it was discovered that it had been reported stolen. Authorities then learned that the jet ski had been parked at that location by Mark Case who had purchased the jet ski from Hughey. Case's son owns the property where the jet ski was located. At this time Julie F Hughey age 40 of Ozark is facing a felony charge of theft of property in connection with the investigation, she is being held in the Franklin County Detention Center, formal charges and a bond hearing pending.
