A 63 year old Ozark man was convicted of rape Friday in Ozark for the rape of 2 juveniles female relatives. 63 year old Ralph Pruitt of Ozark found guilty of 2 counts of rape and 1 count of sexual indecency with a minor child in an Ozark court Friday. On the 2 rape convictions, Pruitt was found guilty of having sex with 2 juvenile female relatives that are not resident's of Franklin County. The alleged rapes would occur when the females would visit Pruitt's home. Pruitt was sentenced to two separate 40 year terms in the Arkansas Department of Corrections for the rape charges, a class Y felonies. This was the maximum penalty. The case involving the charge of sexual indecency with a child did not involve actual penetration and Pruitt was sentenced to 6 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections for the class D felony. The investigation was conducted by Ozark Police Investigator Justin Phillips and Sam Dorrough with the Crimes Against Children Division.
