On Sunday the Franklin County Sheriff's Department received a call from Crawford County of reports of an argument on Wilson Lane that had led to a man being shot in the leg. The location was in the 14K block of Wilson lane and authorities arrived at the scene making contact with a white male in a shed behind the home. When the man was found he became combative and started swinging at deputies, striking a Crawford County deputy. The suspect was tased after refusing to submit to arrest. The suspect, identified as Arnold McCabe Jr. age 21 said he had been shot in the leg, but he could not remember who shot him in the leg or where it happened. McCabe was taken to the hospital in Ozark where he was treated and released with only minor injury to his leg. McCabe was taken into custody and is facing a felony charge of 2nd degree battery and resisting arrest. A bond hearing and formal charges are pending.
