A white male suspect is in custody after being arrested in Clarksville this morning by Ozark Police and Clarksville Police in connection with a residential burglary in Ozark. The Franklin County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call at 4:30am Monday from the Dean resident's at 211 Williams St. saying that someone had broke into their home while they slept. They reported several items taken. When police and deputies arrived they discovered that the home owner's vehicle had been stolen too. It was a 2012 Equinox that was brand new equipped with the Onstar system which was activated. It was through Onstar that police were able to locate the vehicle at an apartment complex in Clarksville, Onstar was also able to have vehicle disabled. Clarksville police were notified and responded setting up surveillance on the vehicle. Ozark Police later arrived and waited until the male suspect came out to the vehicle and opened the trunk. He was then taken into custody and is being held in the Franklin County Detention Center as the investigation continues. Ozark Police Chief Cory Tedford tells KDYN News that a flat screen television, Ipad, 2 Kendle Nooks, prescription medications and a BB gun were all taken from the home sometime during the night while the home owners slept. Chief Tedford said that the stolen property had been recovered. Wesley Casner age 28 of Ozark was the suspect arrested and is charged with theft of vehicle, breaking or entering, residential burglary all felonies.
