The Ozark City Council met in special session on Wednesday afternoon to discuss three matters. The first was the construction of a street servicing the new travel center to be built on Highway 23 North. The council approved the agreement with the property owners on a cost share basis and approved advertising for bids for the construction.
The council accepted a bid from Ozark Ford for a 2002 F150 truck for the Code Enforcement officer in the amount of $8800 approximately. The council also received bids for a new truck from Ozark Ford and Hug Chevrolet but decided to go with the used vehicle because of the low mileage on the vehicle and the price difference.
The final item approved by the council addressed clean up of a fire site on School St. in Ozark which the council voted to have the City Attorney address in Circuit Court to obtain the right to sell the property and recuperate some of the money the City has invested in cleaning up the fire debris and mowing.
