Franklin County Deputy Dave Dodge was called to a single vehicle accident at the 26 mile marker of I-40 at 5am when a vehicle lost control on the rain soaked interstate sliding into the median. The vehicle hit a tree where it came to rest. The driver was not injured, the report expected to be available tomorrow. A reminder to watch for water pooling on roadways and the risk of hydroplaning with the rain in our forecast through tomorrow afternoon and the potential of flooding with a flood watch in effect.
