A $4,500 donation was made to the City of Mulberry at Tuesday nights council meeting for unexpected expenses in the construction of the new Mulberry Senior Center. Mary Sue Lowrimore presented Mayor Gary Baxter with two checks totaling $4,500. The Mulberry Lions Club donated $2,000 and Rep. Leslee Post obtained $2,500 from the state's general improvement for the assistance. The money was originally going to be used for equipment for the new Senior Center, but due to unexpected expenses in dirt work, Lori Oliver and the Center participants decided to donate the money to the city.
