A Teresa Grady of Lamar reported that someone had accessed her bank account without her permission or knowledge. Grady said she was contacted by her bank that a check for $219 had been written on her account at Harvest Food. JC authorities do have a suspect in the investigation. Late Saturday night Johnson County Deputy Aaron Einert was dispatched to take a call of a stolen vehicle. Darrell Gregory of Clarksville stated that his vehicle had been parked at the Red Oak Station on Highway 64 in Lamar, when he came home from work it was gone. The vehicle was a pink 1990 Geo Storm and had been left at the store about 6am on Friday Jan. 27th, when Gregory returned at 11pm, the vehicle was gone. The Johnson County Sheriff's Department is in the process of investigating a felony theft on Highway 352. Jim Cline reported that about $4,000 worth of parts had been stolen from a log skidder at his sawmill on Highway 352. Parts included a seat, joy stick, hydraulic hoses, slasher bar tip and other misc. parts. The theft is believed to have occurred between Friday morning and Sunday morning. A Lora Buchanan of Lamar filed a report of a break in on her property in the 6000 block of State Highway 359 near London Saturday. Mrs. Buchanan reported the suspect(s) broke into a shop building on the property and took a CST transit in a yellow box from the shop and stripped stripped most of the electric wiring from the building. Other misc. items were taken as well. The estimated value of the transit is $600. A complete list of stolen items is not available from the report. The Johnson County Sheriff's Department was contacted over the weekend by a Mona Russell of Hartman in regards to some clothing being stolen from her mother-in-laws home along with a pressure cooker. Mrs. Russell was not sure of a time frame when the property was stolen. The location of the theft was in the 1500 block of County Road 2305.
