Both lanes of I-40 between Mulberry and Dyer were shut down last night as authorities worked an accident involving an 18 wheeler that jackknifed and then caught fire. Authorities report that the Cracker Barrel truck had swerved to miss and object in the roadway when it lost controlled and jackknifed. In the process, the fuel tank was punctured, causing the truck to catch fire. The truck was a total loss. 2 people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, treated and released. Names of those involved were not available. The interstate was closed for about an hour and a half as emergency personnel worked that accident and removed the wrecked, burned truck.
