An Ozark woman died early this morning in a structure fire at her home on Hatties Lane between Ozark and Altus. Franklin County Sheriff Anthony Boen reports that the fire was discovered by Franklin County Deputy Dave Dodge, who was just getting off duty at 2am this morning ( Friday ) when he discovered his house was on fire. Dodge notified the sheriff's department of the fire and then entered the home to find his wife Christy Lindsey Dodge unresponsive. Franklin County EMS and Altus 1st Responders were called to the scene and Christy was transported to Turner Memorial Hospital in Ozark where she was pronounced dead. A cause of the fire is not known, the home was not a total loss as the fire was contained to one room with smoke and water damage through out the home. According to Sheriff Boen, an account will be set up at Simmons Bank in Ozark for those wishing to donate to the family. Christy Lindsey Dodge was 46.
