A Mulberry man was charged Wednesday with Attempted Murder after a fight in which a Crawford County man was stabbed. Barry Haney age 36 is being held without bond in the Crawford County Sheriff's Department for stabbing his brother in law Kenneth Roof in the stomach Tuesday night. The incident took place at the home of Kenneth and Lisa Roof at 10133 Cattleman Road in Crawford County, when Barry and Kenneth got into a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation. According to Chief Ron Brown, at one point in the fight Barry was armed with a golf club and Kenneth a bat before Barry stabbed Kenneth in the stomach with a knife. Kenneth Roof was taken to Summit Hospital in Van Buren by private vehicle where he was treated and released. Both men have served time in the State Penitentiary.
