If you travel Highway 64 in the River Valley the next several day's in the River Valley you may see something out of the ordinarry. Johnny Warnshuis of California is on a mission to ride on horseback from California to New York to raise awareness for GBS, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a disorder afflicting his mother. The 44 year old started in March in Redding California as he heads east with his horse and mustang that he uses as a pack horse. Warnshuis spent the night at Kirksey Park in Mulberry in an RV provided by a resident of the area. Mulberry Police Chief Joshua Craig is going to notify us when Warnshuis leaves Mulberry this morning. He will continue down Highway 64 east bound and is planning on staying at a home between Ozark and Altus tonight. His hope is that when he arrives in New York he will garner national media attention to bring awareness of GBS.
