It has been learned that financial budgetary challenges is being blamed for several Child Development Centers in our area to be closed on Tuesday. CDI offers federally and state funded preschool programs around the area. Employees were notified on Jan. 26th that they would not be receiving their paychecks until further notice. The employees have reportedly being working without pay the last several weeks. As far as a time frame of when the matter will be resolved, it is not known. Reports are that some of the centers will be open as of today.
