Wednesday at 3:45pm Franklin County received a 911 call of a car vs. bus accident on North Rattlesnake Road about 2 1/2 miles north of Highway 22. The bus was a Charleston School bus occupied by 8 students, non of which were injured and all were delivered to their homes by another bus that responded to the scene. According to the report, Don Sosebee of Charleston was the driver of a 1994 Nissan pickup traveling south on Rattlesnake road, the bus, a Thomas school bus was traveling north on Rattlesnake driven by Phillip Pitman of Charleston. About halfway between Highway 22 and Highway 60 the two vehicles collided in a blind curve. The road was reported to be muddy from rain the day before. The Sosebee pickup was reported to be totaled with $2,000 damage to the bus. Again no one was injured and no citations were issued.
