Calf Killed Near Charleston
12-19-11 06:32
Franklin County Deputy Derek Nietert took a report on Sunday of a calf being killed and a cow injured by a dog on property located in the 1600 block of State Highway 217 Near Charleston. The calf and cow are owned by James Young who reported that one of his calves were killed by some dogs and that a cow was severely injured by the same dogs. Young reported finding a pit bull on his property in the area of the cow and calf on the 10th of this month. The report shows that the authorities do have a possible owner of the dog identified at this time, and the matter remains under investigation.
