A resident of Mockingbird Lane came home on Sunday morning to find a stranger passedout in a recliner at her home. The homeowner, Gretchen Thompson, told authorities that she and her son had stayed at her mother's home Saturday night and returned to her house about 8:30am to find a stranger asleep in a recliner in her living room. She immediately left the house and notified authorities. Franklin County Deputy Derek Nietert arrived to find the male subject asleep in the recliner and took the subject into custody without incident. The man appeared intoxicated and could not remember how he got to where he was. It was later learned that the man owned property across the street from the home he was located in. David Silkowski age 39 of Mulberry was arrested for felony Breaking or Entering and Public Intoxication. He is in custody awaiting a bond hearing and formal charges being filed. There was no sign of forced entry and nothing appeared to have been taken or damaged.
