A bond hearing was held this morning for 23 year old James Lovell of Altus who was arrested on Saturday by Franklin County authorities. Lovell was originally arrested on a charge of sexual indecency with a child 2nd degree, that charge was changed to Rape this morning as part of the investigation and questioning of Lovell. Lovell admitted in questioning to having sexual relations with a 12 year old female at her home on Saturday. Lovell was arrested at the girls home after the girls father came home to find Lovell at the house and held him there until authorities arrived. The relations were reported to be consensual, but the age of the female constitutes a rape regardless. Judge Mac McCain set bond for Lovell at $100,000.
