27 year old Jason Gober of Altus was killed in a single vehicle accident this morning in Johnson County near Clarksville. Gober was driving a 2006 Toyota pickup eastbound on I-40 near the 57 mile marker when the vehicle cross the median and westbound lane of traffic and struck a tree. Gober was ejected from the vehicle and was not wearing a seatbelt. A passenger in the vehicle, Rusty Kimes age 28 of Clarksville, was wearing a seatbelt and was transported to the Johnson Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. The accident occurred at 5:40am and was investigated by CPL Wilson Short of the Arkansas State Police in Clarksville.
