Franklin County Deputy Dave Dodge responded to a single vehicle accident at 5am Thursday morning on State Highway 22 at Highway 41. Ricky Malone of Charleston was driving a 2006 Chevy passenger car on State Highway 22 in Branch when he said a buck deer ran out in front of him and he swerved to miss the deer causing the vehicle to run into the ditch. Malone was westbound at the time of the accident and extensive damage was reported to the front of the vehicle. Ricky Malone was not injured in the accident.
