12-21-11 06:05

The Ozark Police Department, 5th Judicial Drug Task Force and Franklin County Sheriff's Department converged on a trailer house in the 1500 block of North 2nd St. in Ozark Tuesday afternoon to execute a search warrant for possible drug manufacturing. The search resulted in the arrest of 4 drug suspects and the seizure of a lab, finished product and some weapons. The address was 1512 North 2nd St. #4. An ongoing investigation lead authorities to the location as the possible sight of meth manufacturing, when authorities executed the warrant they found just that - a meth lab, along with finished product believed to be meth and also seized a couple of guns. Authorities report that 4 people were arrested at the scene and that a young child was present in the home where the drug activity was taking place. The child was taken into the custody of DHS. The 4 arrested included Ricky Nordin age 43 of Ozark, Christy Boswell age 29 of Ozark, Selena J Clingenpeel age 25 of Altus and Kelly R Laubach of Fort Smith age 26. All 4 of the suspects are facing charges of delivery of a controlled substance as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and manufacturing meth. Formal charges have not yet been filed against the 4 who remain in the Franklin County Detention Center with a bond hearing pending. Ozark Police Chief Cory Tedford praised the efforts and cooperation of those involved.
