A felony theft report was taken on Friday at a storage buildling in the 8800 block of Oliver Lane at property owned by Billie Champ Cagle. The report shows that the suspect(s) had gained access to a poultry barn that had been converted into a storage shed. Over $2,000 worth of tools and misc. items had been taken from the buildling including a Miller welder valued at $1,300, a Husqavarna chainsaw value at $800 and several smaller items. Some evidence was collected at the scene.
On Saturday, Franklin County authorities responded to a home in the 2800 block of Cataberry Run Road near Ozark to take a felony theft report. Jerry Lee Parker told authorities that someone had taken about $4,000 worth of gold rings from the home. Along with the rings, about $4,000 worth of additional jewelry has been stolen from the home including a gold watch, and necklaces. There was aslo a Stihl chainsaw taken from the home. The investigation continues into the theft.
