Rural Fire Departments in Franklin County were called out to a couple of brush fires on Thursday. The first call came in at 2:20pm on Hickory Ridge road with a report of a large brush fire out of control. The fire came dangerously close to a barn but when it was all said and done no structures were damaged. The Mulberry and Pleasant View Fire Departments were called to these brush fire. A second call came in minutes later of a brush fire on Ross Road. The Branch Fire Department was called to that fire, no structures were damage in that fire either.
