Thursday 2am on Highway 352 at Highway 23...Franklin County Sgt. Brent Scott was called to the intersection of Highway 352 and Highway 23 this morning to an accident. Sgt. Scott arrived to find the suspect vehicle had left the scene after traveling through the intersection while west bound and continued throught a double gate and chain link fence striking a parked vehicle at the home of Freda Diffee. The impact forced Diffee's vehicle into the garage causing about $500 damage to the garage and at extensive damage to her 2007 Dodge Charger, that was unoccupied. At this time the accident remains under investigation.

Wednesday 2:45pm Oak Bend Road...Cpl Glenda Morrison investigated a two vehicle accident on Oak Bend Road south of Highway 96. Judy Graham of Cecil was traveling south on Oak Bend Road driving a 2005 Ford Escape. Graham turned on her turn signal to turn left into a private drive at 4052 Oak Bend Road when a 1994 Toyota pickup driven by Mai Moua of Cecil, also south bound, attempted to pass Graham on the left side on a double yellow and struck the driver side front tire area of the Graham vehicle. After impact Moua continued south striking a mailbox and coming to rest in the ditch. No one was injured and damage to the Graham Ford Escape was estimated at $5,000 with $1,000 damage to the Toyota pickup driven by Moua.
